We used 2 reclaimed doors once in my grandparents home to use as a room separator. After cleaning, distressing the painted sides, and finishing wood side with beeswax we hung the 2 doors with sliding barn hardware. Our new house is starting to feel more like home... With a little more family history too:) #makingMemories
The door on the left actually had an extra coat pf paint, but we thought it looked more interesting to let the 2 doors be different. Also the the door on the right seeam to be stained reddish orange... I think this was from being an unsealed exterior door leading from the back where it was exposed more to red clay dirt. Natural differences, but I may actually make use of red clay dirt in a future project. One more note: a heat gun actually helped speed up the distressing procedure on the painted sides... still needed to scape and sand the paint chips to get a smoother finish.
